So I was headed up nort' for the weekend and not so sure if I wanted to leave Kentucky...
...I was leaving beautiful 80 degree weather...
Not that the beaches of Michigan were going to be that bad...but it was a little chillier than my liking. It was another year for Iceman, first year racing with the big girls...coming off a week of not even touching my bike, this was going to be really interesting.
I didn't have much of a game plan...hang on Heather's wheel? Okay, maybe. So I threw some atomic balm on my legs and decided to be one of the few...okay the only one in the women's field to run it bare legged. I was just feeling ambitious (or stupid).
The line up didn't give me too many nerves. Sometimes it gets to the point where I know I have a lot of control out of my hands I don't get as nervous. But when the race is actually something that might be big for me that's when you know something is on the line.
The race was tough. I struggled and I did die at the end...somehow by just "chillin" the last leg of the race due to lack of being able to go hard, I still managed to better my time from last year by over 5 minutes. So that was the only thing that really stoked me on my race. It was tough, cold, and Iceman.
A sick top 3 men's finish of Jeremiah Bishop, B-Matter , and Michael Anderson.
Regina, Don, and me after my race.
And a solid crew at the banquet.
Michelle Periso and I at the banquet
Then some delicious Mexican food to end the night...besides them all hitting up the Bell's Party of course.
Wait...I also so Riccardo Ricco there? What?? Just thought I'd share my secret life with you...

As for now...Been puking my guts out with this stupid Norovirus...No cross race for me this weekend...they left without me.
Trying to recover from a bummin' time.
